Alex & Kumi
A marriage,
plated nightly.
Vestige is husband-and-wife work: Alex Perry, an Ocean Springs native, and Kumi Omori, whose Japanese sensibility runs through every course.
Since 2013
Home town,
world table.
Alex grew up here. Instead of taking the cooking to a bigger city, he and Kumi opened Vestige in downtown Ocean Springs in 2013 and let the city come to them. Thirteen years later the room is still small, the team is still tight, and the ambition hasn’t moved an inch.
The MICHELIN Guide describes the result plainly: complex cooking, a quaint dining room, and a staff that puts everyone at ease.

The Room
Ambition without pretension.
Modern art on the walls. Tables with space between them. Cooking as involved as any in the South, served like you’re a neighbor — because on this street, you are.

The menu is a progression; the room is small on purpose. Reserve by phone, and we’ll take care of the rest.
